Summary of Position 

The Director of Operations assists the Chief Operations Officer oversight of Sky High’s multi-site facilities. The Director of Operations provides strategic leadership for multi-site facility maintenance and multi-site warehouse, production, fulfillment, and logistics operations at Sky High Marketing. This position oversees shipping, receiving, inventory management, embroidery, direct-to-garment (DTG) printing, direct-to-film (DTF) printing, heat press decoration, screen printing, e-commerce fulfillment, kitting, and client warehouse storage. 

The Director of Operations is primarily responsible for driving operational excellence, improving efficiency, maintaining quality standards, developing team members, and ensuring the timely delivery of products and services that exceed client expectations. This role requires a proven leader with experience in logistics, production management, and team development, ideally within the promotional products, branded merchandise, apparel decoration, or e-commerce industry. 

Responsibilities 

Operational Leadership: o Review and update daily operational performance reports. 

o Manage team scheduling across all departments. 

o Develop and implement strategies to enhance productivity and efficiency. 

o Oversee fulfillment processes—shipping, receiving, production, and custom decoration—to ensure timely delivery. 

o Continuously improve warehouse workflows, including inventory management and logistics. 

Team Management: o Lead and mentor department managers and staff to achieve performance goals. 

o Align team member skills with daily operational needs. 

o Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. 

Quality Assurance: o Ensure all products meet established quality standards and customer expectations. 

o Implement and maintain quality control processes across all production areas. 

o Analyze operational costs and identify opportunities for efficiency and savings. 

Compliance and Safety: o Ensure compliance with industry regulations and workplace safety standards. 

o Develop and enforce policies to maintain a safe, efficient, and compliant work environment. 

Travel: o Travel to Sky High Marketing’s Boise, ID production facility approximately twice per quarter. 

Compliance and Safety: o Oversee the Building and Grounds Manager to ensure proper maintenance and upkeep of Sky High Marketing’s owned Milwaukee (MKE) facility. 

o Work with landlords and local contractors to maintain Sky High Marketing’s leased facilities. 

Qualifications 

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred. 

• Five or more years of leadership experience in operations, production, manufacturing, fulfillment, logistics, or a related field. 

• Experience in promotional products, branded merchandise, decorated apparel, printing, or e-commerce industry preferred. 

• Experience managing embroidery, direct-to-garment (DTG), direct-to-film (DTF), heat press, screen printing, or similar production environments. 

• Proven success leading and developing teams in a fast-paced production or warehouse environment. 

• Strong knowledge of inventory management, warehousing, shipping, receiving, and fulfillment operations. 

• Experience implementing process improvements that increase efficiency, quality, and profitability. 

• Understanding of production scheduling, capacity planning, and workflow optimization. 

• Experience in managing budgets, labor costs, operational metrics, and vendor relationships. 

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. 

• Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to motivate and hold teams accountable.
