Reports To: Print Manager

Job Summary

The Screen Print Operator is responsible for producing high-quality printed designs on garments and other substrates using manual and/or automatic screen-printing equipment. This role requires strong attention to detail, knowledge of screen-printing processes, and the ability to meet production deadlines while maintaining quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and maintain manual and/or automatic screen-printing presses

  • Prepare screens, including coating, exposing, washing out, and reclaiming

  • Mix inks and match colors according to job specifications

  • Load and align garments or materials for accurate printing

  • Inspect printed items for quality, consistency, and defects

  • Troubleshoot print issues such as registration, ink coverage, or screen defects

  • Perform routine equipment maintenance and keep work areas clean and organized

  • Follow production schedules and meet daily output goals

  • Adhere to workplace safety procedures and quality standards

  • Communicate with supervisors and team members regarding job status or issues

Qualifications & Skills

  • Previous screen-printing experience preferred (manual and/or automatic)

  • Knowledge of inks, mesh counts, squeegees, and print techniques

  • Strong attention to detail and color accuracy

  • Ability to follow work orders and production instructions

  • Basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift moderate weight (e.g., 30–50 lbs)

  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced environment

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred

  • On-the-job training may be provided for entry-level candidates

Work Environment

  • Production or manufacturing setting

  • Exposure to inks, chemicals, and machinery

May involve repetitive motions and extended standing
