Job Summary
The Screen Print Operator is responsible for producing high-quality printed designs on garments and other substrates using manual and/or automatic screen-printing equipment. This role requires strong attention to detail, knowledge of screen-printing processes, and the ability to meet production deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Set up, operate, and maintain manual and/or automatic screen-printing presses
Prepare screens, including coating, exposing, washing out, and reclaiming
Mix inks and match colors according to job specifications
Load and align garments or materials for accurate printing
Inspect printed items for quality, consistency, and defects
Troubleshoot print issues such as registration, ink coverage, or screen defects
Perform routine equipment maintenance and keep work areas clean and organized
Follow production schedules and meet daily output goals
Adhere to workplace safety procedures and quality standards
Communicate with supervisors and team members regarding job status or issues
Qualifications & Skills
Previous screen-printing experience preferred (manual and/or automatic)
Knowledge of inks, mesh counts, squeegees, and print techniques
Strong attention to detail and color accuracy
Ability to follow work orders and production instructions
Basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
Ability to stand for long periods and lift moderate weight (e.g., 30–50 lbs)
Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
Education & Experience
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
On-the-job training may be provided for entry-level candidates
Work Environment
Production or manufacturing setting
Exposure to inks, chemicals, and machinery
May involve repetitive motions and extended standing
